It truly takes all kind of people working together as a team to
accomplish Environment and Natural Resources's (ENR)
forest management mandate. Another word for mandate is "mission'.
ENR's mission is broad and the land area it is responsible for
is large. All ENR employees need to be able to work together, to
carry out this mission.
Many of the employees featured here have skills, talents, and knowledge
that they brought with them or gained on the job. They hold various
positions with ENR and carry out various forest management duties.
There are Forest Officers, Renewable Resource Officers, and Foresters
among some of the many careers in ENR.
Whatever their backgrounds though, all have one thing in common,
they have participated in post- secondary education opportunities
in order to increase their knowledge and effectiveness as resource
managers and to attain their career goals. Education makes the difference!
We encourage all students to read over these profiles - this may
help those desiring to work in the field of renewable resources
and particularly forest management to select the appropriate post-
secondary education programs.
