| Forest inventories are combined
with information on forest growth to identify a perpetually sustainable
forest harvest level to meet local needs. Different sustainable harvest
levels may be derived based on different management scenarios.
The Forest Management Division is currently developing a work plan
to perform timber supply analyses in several important priority
areas of the NWT including the Slave River Valley. |
